Almost Over

The house on the cliff overlooking Bridal Vail Falls last week. Telluride Colorado

Well we have almost come to the end of another year. As this year comes to an end I would like to remind you of a few things that are important. Many are heard quoting," I'm glad this years is over" or "This past year was not good". No matter what has happened this past year there is a reason for it all. If life got you down this year then you should not forget it. You should hold this past year close to your heart. Use the past to brighten your future. Remember the situations that held you back and think of a way to move past them. Think of the frustrations and how you can rise above them. Look at what you have learned and how far you have come. Think about what you did this past year and what you will be able to do this year. Never let go of any moment of your past good or bad. Each moment has it's own value and is important. So even though this year is Almost Over, It's really just beginning. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Everyone have a safe New Years.

Take A Moment

Frozen tundra the other morning in Telluride Colorado

Take a moment to enjoy what you have. Take a moment to realize that there's more to life than rush and confusion. Take a moment to step back and capture the meaning of life in all it's glory. Let go of any turmoil and drown out the everyday noise of hustle and bustle. Understand that life is full of change and change is often good. Take a moment to except change and everything that could come from it. Take a moment and enjoy some quiet time. Take a moment to remember where you are and who you are. Take a moment to reflect on the important things that have meaning in your life. If you stop for one minute you will often find what you are focusing on and or worrying about is not that important. Take a moment now and do it often. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year to follow.

Freedom Of Opinion

An older picture that I love, Geese on the run, Montrose Colorado.

Freedom of opinion is often overlooked. For some reason when it comes to excepting others opinions with an open mind things often take a turn in a different direction. Whenever someone says something that we disagree with we often pull the race, religion or sex card to back our beliefs. I for one am really tired of this sort of nonsense. It's not about what race, religion or sex you are. It's about living in a fee America and being able to voice our opinion (beliefs) how you see fit. I believe that America is no longer where it once was. I think we should be able to voice our beliefs regardless or religion, race or sex. Regardless of what others think. We should all be equal and able to voice what we believe in. You should not be hated on because you have a different way of life. If someone has a different belief than you that's great. Thy shall not be hated on because they think differently. Agree to disagree and move on. Life is to short to strip one of there freedom of opinion. Live life with an open mind and enjoy every moment. Don't make mountains out of mole hills and express your opinion when ever and how ever you see fit. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way.

Encouragement

One of our new artworks in town, Montrose Colorado

Encouragement is one of our most powerful tools we have. However we seem to always feel the need to receive it than to give it. Encouragement is another one of those little things in life that we take for granted. Giving encouragement can benefit you more than receiving it, in fact it can be returned to you two fold. When life is getting you down the best thing you can do is lift someone else's spirit. By doing so you will lift your own. When you focus your energy and thoughts on others you will be more affective in handling your own problems. You will gain confidence and courage, you will be more likely to have a positive outcome in your own life. So the next time you are feeling down or needing some encouragement try giving a little encouragement to someone that is having a rough time. Someone that is stuck between a rock and a hard place or perhaps one that is less fortunate than you. You will see how a little encouragement goes a long ways regardless of what end you are on, rather it be receiving or giving. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. I hope everyone had an encouraging day and thanks for visiting my thought today. Don't forget to like and share with friends.

Tasha enjoying the snow. Ouray Colorado

You can make a difference if you choose. You are the difference if you want to be. Every moment in each day is an opportunity to make a difference. You can make a difference in your life as well as others around you. Stop wondering what the difference might be and start moving forward today. You are here and you are putting in the effort so you might as well make it great. Choose to focus on the positives and not worry about the negatives. Follow your dreams without worrying of failing. Stop wondering whether or not you can do it. Make a difference and find out that you can succeed. You can do anything you put your mind to, so start making a difference today. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Thank you again for making a difference in my life with your positive thoughts and continued support. As always thanks for visiting and sharing my thought today.

What To Live For

It's winter at Rifle Falls.

What To Live For is a question we often ask ourselves. The first mistake we generally make is trying to live up to someone else's expectations. We often get caught up in trying to chase someone else's dream. We often get confused with what really makes us happy. We see how others are happy so we think by mimicking there actions will lead to being happy. This might seem true on the outside but it never lasts very long on the inside. What others think happiness is has nothing to do with your own thoughts and actions. Do you really want to be happy, or do you just want to look happy? Do you truly want to be successful, or do you just want to look successful? By chasing others dreams and thoughts you will just look happy and successful, while deep down inside you won't be either. Don't be worried by how you appear to others. Choose  to seek true happiness, this is what to live for. Make life your own and reach out and grab it. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. I hope everyone had a great Saturday and an even better Sunday.

Make It Happen

Our beautiful Black Canyon, Montrose Colorado

We all have a wonderful gift given to us at birth. We all have the ability to make it happen. We can achieve anything we set out to do. We in deed can make anything happen. Free yourself of the stress built up by needing to accomplish a goal. You can do this by getting it done. You can get it done by starting now. Don't delay any longer, make it happen. Imagine how great it will feel once you have completed the task. This day will not last forever and will end soon. So put forth some effort and regardless of the outcome be satisfied that you tried your best. Be happy that you worked towards making it happen. Instead of wasting time worrying about the outcome, use your time to make it happen. Most of the time you will find out that it wasn't as hard as you thought. Get started today, make it happen. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. I hope everyone had a great Wednesday and continue to make it happen tomorrow.
