Keep Moving Forward

Sunset on our lake taken last year. We have our best sunsets during spring, summer and fall.

Keep moving forward, a subject I often talk about. No matter what is occurring in your life you must continue to move forward. Cherish every moment while moving forward. When you have a long way to go keep moving forward. When you're almost there keep moving forward. It's as easy as taking another step. Success is achieved by the ones that do what ever it takes to keep going forward. When your frustrated keep moving forward. When your tired take time out for a rest, then continue moving forward. Keep picking yourself up and keep experiences life's joys. Remind yourself why you are where you are and why you want to go the direction that your headed. Never ever give up and keep moving forward. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Thank you for visiting my thought today and I hope you had a wonderful weekend moving forward.

Some Space Today

A panorama of Wilson Peak today above Telluride Colorado.

Everyone needs some space. The problem is we often let the little things in life drag us down. We often don't distance ourselves from the every day drama. Sweating the small stuff instead of putting some space between them. Most problems can be eliminated by adding some space. The same effort we waste worrying about the small stuff can just as easy be used to gain some space. Break the habit of reacting in the normal way you see fit. Sometimes the best reaction is no reaction at all. You can choose to focus in a different direction anytime you see fit. So the next time one of life's little drama's arises choose a different direction. Add some space between you and the problem. You will be glad you did. There's always issues that need your attention but often we make things worse by over reacting. Choose to add some space the next time something negative crosses your path and see what happens. In most cases it will work it self out and fall by the way side. Give it some space today. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Happy Friday everyone we have made it through another week. Have a great weekend.

Think Ahead

A beautiful sunset on our lake, Montrose Colorado.

Thinking ahead is not over rated by any means. My parents often reminded me as I was growing up how important this is.This doesn't mean that we always practice it though. In order to put yourself ahead you must look ahead, plan ahead and live ahead. Choose to live your life so that you'll be thankful tomorrow and the day after. Bring light to your future by making the best of what you have today. Choose the long term value that lies in every moment to propel you into a better future. Use each day to prepare for a better future. A correct small action today will make a big difference down the road. Live for the moment now while creating value for the moments to come. Don't be afraid of making mistakes either. Your time is valuable so don't waste it. Consider your consequences right now so that you can determine what your consequences will be later. Think ahead, act ahead and you will be ahead. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Thanks for visiting my thought today.

Be Positive About Your Future

A close up picture of Wilson Peak, taken from Mountain Village Colorado.

Be Positive about the future. If you think positive about your future that's probably how it will turn out.If you think gloomy thoughts then more than likely that's the way it will turn out.The future has not happened yet so you can decide how it ends up.There will always be challenges but with those challenges lie possibilities. Turn those possibilities in to positives and your on your way to a bright future. If you expect the best and work forward in a positive way then the best possibilities will come your way.The future is being born right now with your thoughts and actions. So choose to make your actions and thoughts count.Doors are closed so others can be opened.Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Be a positive light in someone else's eyes, remind a friend how much you appreciate them being in your life. Have a great Thursday everyone.

Get Ahead Of The Game

On top of the Gondola in Telluride CO. , zoomed in looking down at one of the most dangerous runways in America. Telluride Airport, Telluride Colorado.

Get ahead of the game. We often get stuck doing just what needs to be done. The bare minimum to just get by. When your done with what needs to be done take the time to do a little more. Choose to go a little further, work a little harder, make an extra effort, you'll be glad you did. By doing so you will enjoy bigger rewards later on down the road. Never pass up the opportunity to get ahead of the game. Sometimes it's great to sit back and enjoy your efforts however when you stop moving forward you are falling behind. Consider the work that you have done in a positive way. Stick to your plan and don't get down when things don't turn out exactly as planned. Use these times as a learning experience and keep pushing forward. Get ahead of the game. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. I hope everyone is working to get ahead of the game today.

Have A Little Fun

Sunset on our lake, looking out my back door.

Sometimes we must play a little, have a little fun. We often get caught up in our own little worlds that we forget to breath a little. You can have fun and let loose once in awhile yet still be responsible. The chores will be there tomorrow. Children do it, animals do it and we can benefit from it as well. In order to grow and gain experience you must let yourself go and play a little. Have some fun every now and then. Choose something fun to do that the outcome doesn't matter. Always set time, energy and resources aside for play. It will calm your days and brighten you nights. It will also have a great impact on your work and the others around you. We perform at our best when we are doing something we enjoy. Increase your play time and it will reflect on your work in a positive way. So don't loose focus and don't forget what life is all about. Plan a play day or even just a few hours to stop and smell the roses. Have a little fun. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Sorry I have been working 7 days a week as of late and have not posted my thoughts nor have I set some time aside for a little fun. Rest assured fun times are on the horizon for me.

Sometimes People

The Beaumont Hotel last winter in Ouray Colorado.

Sometimes People will talk about you and spread rumors behind your back. That's ok let them do so. Let there negativity be there problem not yours. When you express your self others will criticize you and not agree. That's OK learn a little from the feed back but gain confidence that you are being you and have every right to be. When you are big enough to admit that you don't know something others might laugh. But that's OK the first step to learning is admitting that you don't know. Be smart, aware and honest with yourself  and you will always be one step ahead of the game. Keep yourself positive by staying away for the whiners and complainers. They will do nothing but slow you down. Be the best you can be by staying positive and taking each step with confidence. Even if it ends up being the wrong step you will easily rebound. Sometimes People want to worry about you because they can't take care of themselves. This is all OK continue on with a smile. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way. Thank you for visiting my thought of the day.

A Full Time Job

Looking at Wilson Peak today (14,017 feet)

I don't know if you have been informed but life is a full time job. Don't take one minute for granted. God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. I suggest that you use the time given wisely. I would suggest using at least some of the seconds to thank him. Use another to thank the ones that are in your life. Choose to use the leftover minutes to improve your well being and others around you.
If you quit before the work is completed, the work you’ve done is wasted. Honor the time and effort you’ve already put into it by finishing what you started. If you plant a seed, and water it just for a few days, and then stop, you might as well have never planted it. Remember to direct your focus again and again toward those things you’re committed to completing. Being inspired for a few minutes or for a day or two feels good. Being inspired for a lifetime is what actually achieves good results. Then remind yourself again, and again, on every day, in each new situation. Then commit yourself to staying connected. Don’t settle for just a few moments here and there of brilliance. Choose to make every second count. Make life’s richness a full-time job. Life is a full time job and if you quit early your boss will not be happy with you. Put in a little extra effort today. Tell a loved one that you love them. Tell an stranger or enemy that you care. Then take the gift of time to move your life forward. Remember to never regret a second and be sure to break the rules once in awhile. Don't forget to love always, forgive quickly and smile along the way.
